Where I slept in DC?
I stayed at the La Meridian Arlington a Marriott hotel (it was technically located in Virginia?) BUT all you do to get to Washington DC is go across the bridge you could see from our room! The river water was the boarder between the two. Kinda cool and a nice view! I had points and a free nights stay to use so it was technically free although I did PAY to get all those free nights with my American Express Bonvoy Business Credit Card!

My BEST Foodie Finds in Washington, DC
If you don’t know by now you should — I AM A FOODIE! I love good food and will complain or starve if it’s bad. If you haven’t heard about my trip to CUBA I didn’t eat and lived on fruit juice for 5 days!
The first place we hit was
- Thunder-burger (our friend who is a local resident said this place was a local spot for good food in Washington DC)
- Next we opted for late night Mexican at Chronic Tocos??? (Because it was within Walking Distance of our hotel)
- DINNER at the 4 Seasons Hotel [Bourbon Steak DC] OMG it is a WELL WORTH IT EXPERIENCE (go for dinner and sit outside if you can) We had the best Mocktails and the Trio of Fries with Dipping sauces to match each WOW. I love sauce but these perfect pairing put it over the top. Then the Bread is NOT your ordinary loaf! The Cesar salad was divine loved the dressing tossed on every leaf and the presentation was quiet unique and sharable — minus the dead little anchovy staring back at me. He was fried and I tried it but not my cup of tea. We went all out and got the Wagyu Filet? Of course I always get ranch! But also ordered a side of their steak sauce and horseradish. Plus some Truffle Mac N Cheese, Mushrooms, … Then we had cheesecake for dessert! We even went back the next day and had their cheese plate and a few more Spicy Margarita Mocktails (aka as a Spicy Lemonade) But they also have a few classic mocktails non-alcohol options on their menu as well.
- We didn’t get to go but I heard Insomnia Cookies was a great 24/7 spot!
